Events list

My journey into food began unexpectedly during my mathematics degree at Loughborough University, when I won a cookery competition organised by Red Magazine and Harper Collins. This led to a cookbook deal and the launch of my culinary career. In 2017 I was recognised with The Observer's Rising Star in Food award in 2017 and my debut cookbook, Hibiscus, was shortlisted for a Gourmand Food Award.

Beyond my cookbook, I run my popular supper club, Jebu, where I create dining experiences showcasing the regional flavours of Nigeria. I've taught classes a Waitrose Cookery School and Aldeburgh Food Festival. Now, I'm bringing that same passion and expertise to my own cooking classes, guiding you through the techniques and traditions behind dishes from Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal and beyond. In my hands-on cooking classes, I'll share the vibrant flavours and techniques of West African cooking, and how to make these beloved dishes accessible and achievable in your own kitchen.

Join me for an immersive culinary journey across West Africa. Each class focuses on a different West African cuisine, from Nigeria to Ghana all the way to Senegal. You'll learn traditional techniques, work with specialist ingredients and discover the stories behind the dishes.

Whether you're a complete beginner or a confident home cook, my classes offer a welcoming space to explore new flavours, build your skills, and connect with West African food culture. All ingredients, equipment and aprons are provided, and you'll leave with a digital recipe pack to recreate everything at home.
